About this deal

But the more we get to witness Sam in action, the more it becomes clear that things aren’t nearly as perfect as they seem.

In Kate Bromley’s new rom com Ciao for Now, Violet Luciano, a talented student of fashion design, has landed the opportunity of a lifetime. Rome offers Violet the opportunity to finally let go of her past, discover her passion, find genuine friendship, and embrace the love she deserves, and readers will root for her on every step of this empowering journey. I’ll start by admitting that I binged this book within 24 hours, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.I love being a witness not only to Violet's love story but also her journey to find out what she truly wants to do in her life! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review! I really loved the importance and development of mental health, internal thoughts, self criticism, and the emotional intelligence, that these characters showed. The fiery attraction between the sunshiny, optimistic, caring, artsy, creative, and quirky Violetta and the grouchy, surly, charismatic, and playful Matt absolutely excited me!

So when she lands a summer internship at an up-and-coming fashion brand in Rome - with a chance to win a job at a NY fashion label - she heads to Italy, ready to give it her all! There’s amazing banter, friendships that will remind you of your own, and a setting that will make you want to pack your bags and jet set!I loved Violet immediately and despite Matt's grumpy demeanor, his witty sarcasm had me wrapped around his finger. Or I should clarify that what you think will be success and what you achieve and the journey to get there. When Sam runs into Wyatt, her childhood sweetheart who she hasn’t seen in almost 14 years, it becomes clear that Sam has just been going through the motions both personally and professionally. While I thought Violet and Matteo had great chemistry and loved the quasi grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, and haters to lovers romance they had, I was more invested in the friendships Violet made and how well they supported each other. They all have incredible banter, especially Violet’s friend and competitor Marco- I laughed out loud several times during his dialogue, and Violet has some great verbal barbs herself (and I just came off reading an Ali Hazelwood novel, who’s truly often hilarious with her characters’ dialogue).
