About this deal

The documentary might be a little technical for some in its first half, but it moves quickly enough to prevent it from feeling dry. Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to Dawn of the Dead. Along with several other bonus goodies inside, the entire UHD package makes for a Highly Recommended addition to the 4K library.

It was retitled Zombies and rated 'X' with 5m 05s of BBFC cuts to the violence and gore, running at 2h 00m 20s. Memories of Monroeville: A tour of the mall – New 30 minute feature with Michael Gornick, Tom Savini, Tom Dubensky and Taso Stavrakis revisiting the famous mall. Grain is barely visible and the transfer has a very pleasing 'filmic' look that's just not as pronounced on the DVD versions. The pause towards the end does the climax a lot of favours too and is where we get a lot of the emotional weight and satire, seeing how cold the characters have become towards each other after being isolated with all they need for too long. Romero's cult film Dawn of the Dead (1978), starring Scott Reiniger, Ken Foree, David Emge, Gaylen Ross, and Tom Savini. The mono track is clean and bright, and as faithful as you can get to the original cinematic experience.

A deal was struck that provided initial funding and gave Argento the right to produce his own cut of the film for the European release. After choosing the scenes and takes he wanted, he had those alone developed into 35mm prints for the master reels.
