About this deal

i don’t even know what to say about this book but it was heart wrenching, emotional, romantic, sweet, and so spicy. Castle calls for Kenji, Adam, and Juliette during the night. He tells them the Supreme Commander, Warner’s father is in the Sector. He also tells them Juliette’s four new friends have been taken hostage. They have received a communication that if Juliette goes to a certain place at a certain time they will be released. Kenji and Adam will go with her but remain hidden. Other Omega Point soldiers will be ranged further out.

You would say that.” He almost laughs. “But being kind does not come naturally to me, love. You’ll have to be patient with my progress.” Warner has his sights set on more than just politics. Since he proposed to Juliette two weeks ago, he’s been eager to finally marry her, the person he loves more than anything and has endured so much to be with. But with so much chaos around them, it’s been nearly impossible for them to have a wedding. And even Juliette has been distracted by everything they need to do. I’m fine,” I say, and glance again in the mirror. I run a hand over the soft/spiky half inch of hair I have left and wonder at how the cut manages to makes me look harsher—and colder—than before. “Though I confess I don’t really recognize myself,” I add aloud, attempting a laugh. I’m standing in the middle of the bathroom wearing nothing but boxer briefs. My body has never been leaner, the sharp lines of muscle never more defined; and the rawness of my body is now paired with the rough cut of my hair in a way that feels almost uncivilized—and so unlike me that I have to look away.Warner remembers his father and his friends agreeing that their children should learn to disable each other, and also learn what a bullet feels like. I just love when a story just makes me completely obsessed and Dominic definitely did this to me. I couldn’t put this book down. I was immersed from the get go. Enemies to lovers and secret pining for years and I was done for. Dominic and his pining for Sloane was chef’s kiss. He’s head over heels in love with her. She hasn’t dated since her husband and Dominic’s best friend suddenly died four years ago. An evening out changes everything between him and Sloane. At the Symposium, Juliette starts denouncing The Reestablishment. People get angry and start shooting at her. She deflects the bullets. Then she screams, and everyone in the room drops dead. warner's inner monologue is......... everything. i mean that both literally because of its weight and meaningfulness, but also his sarcasm is perf So far, I would rate this five stars if I could. And that's not just because it's a Tahereh Mafi book--trust me, I was worried about this book. But everythin

It’s been just over two weeks since he was killed, shot twice in the forehead by someone I love. She was doing me a kindness by killing him. She was braver than I’d ever been, pulling the trigger when I never could. He was a monster. He deserved worse.Supposedly he’s done with his ex girlfriend but “they’re still friends and he cares about her” so he allows her to call him and lean on him for support. Even during the first real date with the heroine. Instead of taking that call, dude, turn off your phone!! kenji is.... everything in this book. the BEST companion for juliette, being there for her and letting her rant and providing comic relief. at the same time, telling warner to get his shit together and being the cheerleader for him that he was for juliette in unravel me. you can see the loyalty and trust developing already and im EMO

It’s been all building to this moment…our Summer of Shatter Me binge-read is complete! We just finished the fourth book, Restore Me, and OMG YOU GUYS. Our heads are still reeling from THAT ENDING. To sort through our feelings, we once again have put together a recap to hit all the key moments that happened in the book…which sort of helped? We think? But tbh, typing that last key revelation just got us feeling super emotional again. But nevertheless, we shall persist forward. Nazeera visits Juliette in the hospital and tells her everyone is lying to her. Juliette is really out of it and doesn’t respond.Shatter Me was Mafi’s debut novel and was published when she was only 23 years old. The original trilogy went on to be translated into more than 30 languages and sell more than a million copies. He leveled me with a straight stare. “You must understand that unanimous, collective silence from your enemies is no act of coincidence. They’ve certainly been in touch with one another—they’ve certainly agreed to this approach—because they’re waiting to see what you do next.” He shook his head. “They are awaiting your next move, Ms. Ferrars. I implore you to make it a good one.” i don't hate adam. i'm sorry. especially with how his power could save peoples' lives in the next books, and he might've escaped the hell of that ending? he might save the day. Also, I don't stand behind the empowering feeling she had because of her shaved head, since she only did it because she was drunk. It's distasteful tbh, and pretty much ruins the beauty is not only physical theme. You give Nazeera a hijab that not only shows power to her as a woman but also power in her beliefs, but the valley girl gets a little drunk and heartbroken...just sayin LOL, but yeah whatever. What do I know. You do you girl.

i reread this spontaneously in preparation for shadow me and that shit HURTED. im thirty times more confused than i was about this book's ending. but the things i enjoyed most about this reread was seeing warner's self-awareness develop and the distinction between different kinds of power and resilience, specifically how juliette has to compartmentalize and separately hone her physical strength and mental strength. loved it as always even though i'm so confused and stressed i could cry i don't have enough characters left in this review to make a list of all the things i loved. there were imperfect parts, and i was wary that i would have to pretend this never happened, but i can only repeat: OH MY GOD I really hope Lauren Carson have special place in hell, like can Lucifier himself gives her all the punishments in the hell to her and multiply them by 100. Because she deserves it 😭😭😭 Only sixteen days after IgniteMe, Juliette is now running the show and has invited other world leaders to meet her. Eurasia’s Commander, Ibrahim, was up for it, but the others declined her invitation.

Other recaps for this series:

Adam approaches Warner. He is messed up by grieving his father despite the abuse. Warner admits he feels the same. Adam has not told James that Warner is his brother because he lied to him about his parents. He did not know Anderson and thinks his parents died in a plane crash. Warner is trying to confess everything to Juliette, but she distracts him with nakedness. Afterward, he finally tells her, and she runs out horrified. Now there were some times of miscommunication that could be avoided, but i guess it was in line with their character and the things they went through and it added to the tension so i guess i didn't mind it that much. Overall i loved it and i will definetely read the rest of this series and more from this author. IGNITE ME really does ignite all five of your senses. It blows your mind and makes you hungry for more of its amazing characters. It will completely blow your expectations; Tahereh Mafi truly knows how to deliver!" - Teenreads.com honestly unfollow me if you think warnette are whiney and weak in this book. catch me dead not supporting realistic, complex characters who aren't perfect 24/7 and still have two books of growth.
